They serve to make the internet offering more user-friendly and effective overall.
  2. Use of Cookies:
    • This website uses transient cookies. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
    • You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences, for example, to refuse third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.

§5 Use of Google Analytics

  1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator.
  2. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
  3. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
    http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
  4. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, which excludes the possibility of personal identification. If the data collected about you is personally identifiable, it is immediately excluded and the personal data is deleted without delay.
  5. We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained help us improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user.
In exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google is subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield:

  1. This website collects and processes anonymous information about your usage behavior (e.g., which subpages you visited during your session). We use this data to display interest-based advertising and thereby offer you added value.
  2. To record your usage behavior, a cookie is stored on your device or an anonymous group identity is created. To optimize advertising based on your interests, we use the following tools and cooperate with the listed providers:
    Google Ads
    LinkedIn Marketing
  3. This information is stored using an anonymous pseudonym, making personal identification generally impossible.
  4. We only use the tools for online advertising on our website after obtaining your prior consent. You can give this consent either via the consent banner during your first visit to the portal or at any time via the cookie settings, which are accessible via a link at the bottom of each page. If you delete cookies, you may also need to reactivate any opt-out cookies that were previously set.
  6. Please note that with this method, your decision cannot be documented and may conflict with your choices in the consent management system.

§7 Google Ads with Conversion Tracking

  1. On our website, we use the advertising component Google Ads, including so-called conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as “Google”).
  2. Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield
    (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active),
Google guarantees compliance with EU data protection regulations even when processing data in the USA.
  3. If you click on a Google ad placed by us, a conversion cookie is stored on your device. These conversion cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.
  4. If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page on our website, both we and Google can recognize that you clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to our website.
  5. Based on the information obtained, Google provides us with statistics about visits to our website. We also receive information about the number of users who clicked on our ad(s) and which pages they subsequently visited. This allows us to verify the plausibility of the data in terms of ad fraud. Neither we nor any third parties using Google Ads are able to identify you personally through this process.
  6. We only use this cookie-based service on our portal after obtaining your prior consent. You can give this consent either via the consent banner during your first visit or at any time via the cookie settings accessible at the bottom of each page. Your choice is documented for your browser to fulfill legal documentation requirements. Other opt-out or cookie-blocking methods listed below cannot be documented in this way.
